I work as an industrial caulker in California and our company only uses Albion guns. We found that the DL-45 is the best model for repetitive, heavy use, caulking application. To start, the whole gun is simple and has less components to break compared to other brands, the trigger system is heavy duty and can stand the loading process of the most sense of materials. I like the ladder hook compatibility, even though I think the gun is useless without it as it is more difficult to load material with the straight bar it comes with. The leather pistons make for easy loading and cleaning as long as you spray some sort of lubricant (WD-40) in the barrel before each use. It’s all steel design means every component of the gun can safely be cleaned with solvent. All around its a good hardworking gun and a great buy if you’re in this industry.

Fairly easy to load with a 1″ caulking trowel, this caulk gun has saved me loads of time and money rechinking my log cabin from a five gallon pail, instead of dozens of caulk tubes.

Ordered this to apply to chinking, old stuff is starting to crack and pull away. Really helped would order again nicely built, smooth easy pull on the handle; ran with the traffic cone style tip cut open pretty good. Note for cleanup, try not to take tube completely off, it’s tricky to get it back over that leather piston plunger
