Loading Bulk Caulk with a Skim Plate and Rubber Loading Sleeve (by Bob Reynolds)

Bob Reynolds: Caulk loading accessory from Albion. These skim plates, when used along with our number 33-10 loading sleeve, will protect the product in the pail from air, dirt, and debris on the job site, and it will make bulk caulk loading less messy and more efficient. There are two sizes, for two-gallon and five-gallon pails. To use the skim plate, open your pail and place the skim plate directly on top of the product. Attach your loading sleeve, insert the gun in the center hole on the plate, and load the material as you would normally. You’ll see when you remove it from the pail, the loading sleeve has kept the barrel clean, and the plate is still protecting the material inside the pail. Manufactured from high-density polyethylene, the skim plates are easy to clean, or inexpensive enough to be thrown away after a few uses.
